My teacher told my class to pick one quote from a small list and do this writing exercise with it. I wasn't in mood and felt like being a smart-ass, so here's what I wrote:

I don't know what to write.

I know that I'm supposed to choose one of the quotes being projected onto the screen and talk about it, about the "leadership" theme, and, if I so wish, about how it fits in with Lord of the Flies and Lost. I know what I have been asked to do, and I think I could come up with something, I even have some ideas for points to talk about, but I don't feel like it. Usually, I think over my theme and then flesh it out, but I don't know what sort of overall theme to go with. Do I go with "Leadership changes people. Sometimes for good, sometimes not", or should I talk about how "in order to be a good leader you have to listen to everyone, not just do everything by yourself." I guess my indecisiveness is also rooted in the fact that I'm not sure what quote to chose. "A good leader is a good follower, but a good follower is not necessarily a good leader" could be a good choice for my last theme, but I just really don't want to write about how this quote shows that you need to listen to everyone to be a leader, but still have to be more than just a follower in order to lead.

Needless to say, it didn't really meet the criteria.
